La Tampiquena is a little band from Austin Texas. They play TexMex influeced White Funk. Their Bass Player and Lead singer recently started playing with Bruce Robison and the Drummer plays w/ Dale Watson. The Accordian player lives by the lake and maintains all the stereotypes that go with that. They also have a mando player that goes by the name of "SkyDancer"....so you know their all badass n' shit. They are like a Tejano band that just got off the Honeysuckle Rose after traveling all night with Doug Sahm right before steppin' into an original Riders of the Purple Sage concert
